About me

Who are you? What is all of this? What is the meaning of life?

Unfortunately the meaning of life still eludes me as well. But, I can tell you the following about the first two questions:

First off, hello. My name is Steven Walter Heinrich and I am a graphic slash web designer living in the Chicago area. You have arrived at Pixel Swim, which is where I call home on the world wide web. On here you will find all the things that make up my life. Things that I work on, things I like to do in my spare time as well as random thoughts and items I stumble upon. The internet is an interesting place and hopefully I can contribute to that.

My ever evolving design philosophy.

One of my top goals these days is to get people to read content. I can make flashy, wonderful graphics but it doesn't mean squat if people aren't getting the message. Sure, graphics can help but they should always lead to more.

My current mobile device.

Some designers might disown me on the spot for not owning every Apple product, but I like me some Android goodness. That's why I have the Google Nexus S to quell my mobile modding needs.
